Indications/Uses
- 20 mg tab: For the treatment of mild gastroesophageal reflux disease and associated symptoms (e.g. heartburn, acid regurgitation, pain on swallowing). For long-term management and prevention of relapse in reflux oesophagitis. Prevention of gastroduodenal ulcers induced by nonselective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in patients at risk with a need for continuous NSAID treatment.
- 40 mg tab: In combination with two appropriate antibiotics (see Dosage & Administration) for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in patients with peptic ulcers with the objective of reducing the recurrence of duodenal and gastric ulcers caused by this microorganism.
- 40 mg tab and Inj: Short term use for symptomatic improvement and healing of gastrointestinal diseases which require a reduction in acid secretion: Duodenal ulcer; Gastric ulcer; Moderate and severe cases of inflammation of the esophagus (reflux esophagitis); Zollinger-Ellison-Syndrome and other pathological hypersecretory conditions.
